Things I’m proud of…
I started doing comedy in late 2022, but i’ve been on stage since I was a kid. I grew up listening to comedians and always found it fascinating how they could make the mundane funny and the absurd relatable. I did horribly at my first open mic, but since then i’ve been working on my 10,000 hours 5 minutes at a time.
Every Friday I host
Bell Curve Comedy at
Urban Consequence Brewing Company.
You should come check it out.
Comedy is my way of navigating things that don’t make sense. I have always found that conversations illuminate hidden truths for me, and comedy allows me an opportunity to present ideas to the group for consideration. The ideas I hold on to are the ones that keep evoking a strong feeling, even after i’ve told it a hundred times. I often find that there’s something to be discovered when an audience notices something in my blindspot that I hadn’t considered.
In the time i’ve been active in stand up comedy, i’ve sought to be very active. I produced my first show in July of 2023, and we sold out one of my favorite local theaters in Memphis! Since then i’ve had the opportunity to perform on a few festivals, developed Thank You Five, a quarterly clean comedy show at Germantown Community Theatre as well as a weekly open mic that I host every Friday at Urban Consequence Brewing Company. I also work as a co-producer on the monthly Flyway Comedy Club show. Last but not least, i’ve had the opportunity to work with some really great brands as a content creator.
I’ll be honest I don’t have a ton of accolades in comedy yet, so right now think of this section of the website as a vision board for my aspirations. I want this page to be so full it takes 10 minutes to refresh it.
